The Severino Center works closely with Faculty, both at the Lally School and across the Rensselaer campus, to enrich courses with entrepreneurship-related programs, speakers and other resources.
Entrepreneurial thinking lies at the heart of Rensselaer's educational philosophy, and is one of four building blocks in the Rensselaer Plan. Rensselaer students have access to a wide range of learning tools and resources to help develop and pursue entrepreneurial thinking and innovative opportunities.
While the Severino Center does not offer courses per se, as part of the Lally School’s curriculum, the Center is a key component in the continuum of entrepreneurship resources available to Rensselaer students.
The Severino Center integrates activities into the following entrepreneurship courses offered at the Lally School:
- Design, Manufacturing and Marketing I
- Design, Manufacturing and Marketing II
- Practicum in Technological Entrepreneurship
Technology Commercialization and Entrepreneurship Degrees
Lally offers an interdisciplinary program in Technology Commercialization and Entrepreneurship (“TC & E”) available both as an undergraduate concentration and as an MS degree program. Click here to read more about TC&E.
Other Courses Incorporating Entrepreneurship
While the courses listed above have entrepreneurship as the primary focus, Rensselaer offers nearly nearly 100 additional courses that incorporate entrepreneurship in some way.
