Lally Student Shay Robinson ‘12 Receives Two OMSA Awards

Shay Robinson ’12 receives the Fredrick Douglass Award from OMSA Career Counselor Stacy Galarneau.

The OMSA Awards ceremony honors outstanding Rensselaer Minority undergraduate and graduate students who illustrate scholarly achievement and promote outstanding leadership qualities through cultivating the community at Rensselaer. The ceremony also serves as a platform to recognize faculty and staff of Rensselaer who have supported minority students in their academic, personal, and professional endeavors.

The Fredrick Douglass Excellence Award is presented to a student who best exemplifies persistence and adherence to personal goals without which one would have readily given in to an easier path.  The Sister Citizenship award is given by Sigma Delta for being active in the community and helping out the sorority.
